NHF Photographic Stylist of the Year 2011

Would you like to see your photographs published? Then here’s your opportunity, by entering the NHF Photographic Stylist of the Year 2011 competition you could do.

Entering competitions can be a good way to market yourself and gain awards. It really doesn't matter how expensive your camera equipment is, it all comes down to a keen eye, and artistic flair.

The Photographic Competition is for photographers of all levels of ability and we welcome entries from beginners as well as the experienced. Everyone has an equal opportunity to win in this competition.

Competitors are asked to create a fashion look suitable for the front page of a fashion magazine for ladies’ or men’s hairdressing. Competitors may be individuals or teams consisting of two or more people. Competitors must send a photograph of their model for public viewing.

You may enter either the ladies or Gent’s category but to be eligible to enter for the overall winner you must enter both the ladies and men’s categories.

Photographs/images entered into the NHF Photographic Stylist of the Year Competition must not have been previously shown in any editorial magazine or in any other publication.

Submission of the photographs/digital images vests all rights, including intellectual and copyrights, in the name of the NHF. Work, either completed, or in part, together with the name of the stylist, salon or college may be displayed on the Internet and/or used for exhibitions, NHF publications, newspapers and magazines, and for any promotional material for the NHF. Entry into the competition is deemed to be approval of, and consent for such action. Competitors must ensure that models are aware of, and consent to their image being reproduced in this manner.

The closing date for the entries to the NHF Photographic Stylist of the Year is 31st January 2011.

Finalists will be notified in March 2011. The awards ceremony will take place at the British Open Hairdressing Championships in Cardiff. Winning images will be published in the summer issue 2011 of Inspirations.

Cash prize for the Photographic Stylist of the Year 2011 is £500.
Cash prize for the Photographic Stylist of the Year – Ladies Hairdressing is £250.
Cash prize for the Photographic Stylist of the Year – Men’s Hairdressing is £250.
Prize money is dependent upon sufficient entries in the event to cover the cost of the prize money.
