The NHBF has launched its ‘Incredibles’ competition for a third year to recognise and inspire industry talent. The competition enables stylists of all levels to enter their appropriate category before the competition closes on 31 May 2017.
The categories for the NHBF’s Incredibles competition include:
- Newcomer (year one apprentices)
- Future Generation (second/third year apprentices)
- Incredibles Photoshoot (qualified stylists)
To inspire the winners to develop their skills and talent, finalists from both the Newcomer and Future Generations categories will be invited to attend the Inspiration Day at HOB Academy. Multi-award-winning top stylist Akin Konizi will demonstrate on a model and give an inspirational talk on his dedication and passion for the hair industry. The eight winners of the Incredibles Photoshoot category, along with their assistants, will be rewarded with a phenomenal photo shoot at the Goldwell Academy.
At the first stage, those entering the Newcomer and Future Generation categories are required to submit inspirational mood boards (which are no larger than A3). To enter the Incredibles Photoshoot category, entrants submit a picture of a model showcasing the look they would create for the winning photoshoot, alongside a mood board on the inspiration behind their created look.
NHBF President Agnes Leonard said: “Our Incredibles competition is becoming a favourite within aspiring stylists’ diaries. It inspires them to develop their skills and talent so they can reach the top of their profession whilst learning from some of the best in the industry. The competition was a big success in 2015 and 2016, so we can’t wait to see some of the work from talented stylists come in once the competition opens. Good luck everyone!”
