On Monday May 16th, 40 hairdressers, salon owners and members of the hairdressing industry turned out at the Essendon Country Club for the seventh annual HABB Golf Classic.

The day was a huge success that benefited from fantastic weather conditions, a perfect course and a lovely group of people. While the main aim of the day was to raise much-needed funds to help hairdressers in need, there was also pride at stake, with everyone hoping to be crowned the HABB Golf Classic champion.

The day raised a very impressive £1463.51, including £145 that organizer Pete Statham raised through a guess the distance of my opening tee shot competition.HABB Golf Day 2016

“I’d like to extend a personal thank you to Pete Statham of Balmain Hair, who has been running the event since its inauguration seven years ago and has raised a huge amount of money for HABB in the process.

Pete has now decided to hand over the reins, but we cannot thank him enough for all of his hard work in making the Golf Classic such a success.
HABB is now looking for a kind-hearted person to take over the HABB Golf Classic from strength to strength. If you think you could help, please contact Teresa@habb.org.
