The NHBF has won two highly prized awards at this year’s Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards ceremony held at Drapers Hall in London and attended by over 200 guests.

The first award recognised the NHBF’s easy to follow guide and suite of template documents to take the hassle out of implementing the new data protection regulation (GDPR).  The entry impressed the judges so much that they singled it out for a special award 'Outstanding Member Resource' which has never been done before.

NHBF chief executive, Hilary Hall, said: “In less than 3 months since we launched the GDPR toolkit, members have downloaded the resources over 4,000 times.  We have been overwhelmed by positive feedback from members who value the time, money and effort saved by using the NHBF resources on GDPR.”

This first success was quickly followed by the Outstanding Contribution Award which was won by NHBF's Director of Membership, Tina Beaumont-Goddard.  The award recognised Tina's outstanding achievements in her 30 years career with the NHBF, serving our members and the wider hairdressing, barbering and beauty industry.

The Trade Association Forum, which represents over 300 UK trade bodies, commented on the unusually high number of entries this year, and the quality of the entries.

NHBF president, Agnes Leonard, said:

"These awards stand out for us because we were up against such stiff competition from other trade associations.  I’d like to thank the NHBF team, our members and salon owners themselves for supporting the work that we do.”
