After winning Step Up & SHINE in May, 18-year-old hairdresser Evie Scrowston from Hays Salon in Hull has now officially begun her year-long educational journey. As part of the scholarship, Evie and renowned hairdressing educator, Debbie G, spent an inspirational day together where they outlined a wish list of courses that Evie hopes to take throughout the process.
The Step Up & SHINE hairdressing education
Step Up & Shine provides the opportunity for Evie to tailor the courses to enhance and develop the career path she chooses. First on Evie’s list is a GHD Styler Session she has been booked to attend on 11 July 2017, where she will explore the product range and learn trend-led techniques.
In addition to the variety of colour, hair up and men’s cutting courses on Evie’s wish list, the passionate young hairdresser will also learn from the best as she takes the stage with her mentor in October at Salon International to assist Debbie with creating a look.
In association with the NHBF and the Fellowship, ‘Step Up & SHINE’ which is now in in its fourth successful year, was launched in honour of industry legend, Cristofer Mann, to nurture one stylist with the year-long £2,500 educational programme.
